Superintendent

Job Purpose
Oversee entire location of the fabrication operation. Maintains operation by assigning workers, creating and keeping work and production schedules, hiring and training new employees, collecting and looking through data to find places of waste or places of improvement, keep an eye on Employee safety and plant safety, monitor the production equipment to make sure that it stays in good working condition, and repair or replace the equipment when needed, ensuring that production goals are met, ensuring that production meets profitability goals, handling all the administrative issues relating to the plant, overseeing the performance of all the workers, technicians, and quality controllers, ensuring that the production meets certain quality goals; acting as interface between the middle management and the operations people; providing training opportunities to the production staff; and performing several other tasks

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
1.) Develop and grow the team for todays and tomorrows plant operations
2.) Drive and motivate the team to adhere to WBS strategic goals
3.) Review daily, weekly and monthly activity, product reports taking appropriate actions.
4.) Managing PTO and staff time in Paylocity
5.) Review errors and issues to eliminate recurrence by conduct training and/or accountability
6.) Schedule training/cross-training as needed
7.) Ensure that operating procedures are adhered to
8.) Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
9.) Determine and implement improvements to the production process
10.) Estimate production costs
11.) Manage production budgets
12.) Responsible for Shipping Department

14.) Maintain open lines of communication with HR for a steady supply of labor
Qualifications & Required Skills

Working Conditions
If the job requires a person to work in special working conditions this should be stated in the job description. Special working conditions cover a range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, shift work, working outdoors, working with challenging clients, etc.
Always working under the pressure of tight deadlines and strict quality control standards, this position demands the need to multitask and keep several balls in the air at once with a high level of urgency. There will ALWAYS be unexpected problems that will require creative solutions. A shrewd negotiator, will often be in the position of getting people to like doing something they dont even want to do. You should always be ready to respond to an emergency if required.
Physical Requirements
If the job is physically demanding, this should be stated in the job description. A physically demanding job is one where the incumbent is required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, do repetitive tasks with few breaks, etc.
Mental Stamina and while certainly not something we want to see on a continuing basis, recognizing the time to be there because its tough and youre expecting others to be there too. We dont WANT to work all night to get the job done. But we will if thats what it takes to meet the commitment to our customer. But just as hard as we worked all night to get that job done, we need to work that hard to prevent the situation from happening again. THAT is the We Will NOT Fail Attitude.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
